Welcome to the online application for the research training program TIDAL (Trauma Informed Data Science for Abuse Prevention in Lives of Women). Our course title is "Trauma-Informed Data Science and Digital Health Technologies to Prevent Intimate Partner Violence Among Pregnant/Postpartum Women." All applications should be submitted by 11/29/2024 at 11:59 pm (EST). Applications submitted after that will not be considered for review. Please read all instructions before proceeding with the application.
This course teaches early career researchers big data analytics and digital health technologies to:
Enable more in-depth analyses and sophisticated modeling to ascertain the etiology of intimate partner violence (IPV) and predict IPV among various subgroups of vulnerable pregnant and postpartum women;
Develop and disseminate digital health tools that are scalable, trauma-informed, and ultimately, more accessible by IPV survivors on- and offline.
The course objectives are to:
Equip the next generations of researchers with high data literacy to read, understand, create, and communicate IPV-related data;
Apply big data analytics and digital health technologies in a trauma-informed way to their own IPV research targeting vulnerable pregnant and postpartum women with intersecting identities.
